The University of Wisconsin-Madison is hiring a Custodian to join University Health Services. This night shift position provides custodial services to most areas of 333 East Campus Mall, including non-UHS spaces, offices, meeting areas, and medical and mental health clinic floors.
What You'll Do
- Utilize basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables.
- Maintain clean and clear walkways to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice.
- Monitor and secure facility interior and exterior entrances and report issues to appropriate entities.
- Maintain organization of supply areas and equipment, document inventory, and request additional supplies as needed.
- Document and report repairs, violations, and pest control needs.
What We're Looking For
- 6 months tenure at a previous position.
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
Nice to Have
- 1 year of experience directly related to the skills required for successfully performing the duties of this position.
- Experience with floor waxing and carpet extracting.
- Knowledge of basic safety procedures associated with custodial and maintenance tasks.
Team & Environment
You will be part of the Building Services department within University Health Services.
Benefits & Compensation
- Minimum compensation of $17.51/hr.
- $2,000 hiring bonus.
