Allegheny Health Network is hiring a CT Technologist to competently perform a variety of prescribed CT imaging procedures at a technical level requiring independent judgment. You'll join our team dedicated to providing high-quality diagnostic imaging.
What You'll Do
- Position patients and perform imaging procedure(s). Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results, taking appropriate action to resolve them.
- Review patient history and physician's orders. Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered. Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status.
- Prepare equipment and supplies, select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, implement safety standards, and perform quality control procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Associate degree; or certification from a technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – Radiography Certification and Registration (R); or ARRT– Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification and Registration (N); or ARRT– Radiation Therapy Certification and Registration (RT); or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
- Computed Tomography (CT) Certification is required within 18 months of hire. Employees hired or transferred into the CT role on/after July 1, 2022, must maintain active certifications.
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience working as a CT Technologist.
