Easterseals Blake Foundation is hiring a Crisis Services Supervisor to provide day-to-day supervision of staff and program services for individuals meeting criteria for our Crisis Services Program. You will oversee the implementation of service plans, including medical care and behavior supports, ensuring services meet agency guidelines, funder requirements, and accreditation standards.
What You'll Do
- Supervise team members providing generalized positive behavioral interventions while Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and/or Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) are developed.
- Supervise team members in carrying out individualized plans.
- Work with the Behavior Analyst, RN, and Manager to prepare team members for emergency placements and transitions into Individualized Supported Living (ISLs).
- Communicate proactively to organizational staff regarding transitions, including nurses and behavior team members.
- Develop daily schedules of activities with and for individuals served and ensure follow-through.
- Communicate observations and interventions to support team members regarding individuals' functioning, health status, or behavior.
- Ensure homes provide a healthy and safe living environment.
- Interview, hire, and train new staff.
- Oversee onboarding, provide routine coaching and feedback, and complete performance evaluations.
- Ensure staff remain current in required trainings.
- Schedule team members and monitor overtime.
- Ensure homes operate according to established staffing ratios and overtime guidelines.
- Oversee and provide documentation for individuals served, including tracking behavior and financial records.
- Organize and report data related to individual plans, including monthly packets.
- Supervise the maintenance of all required staff and individual records.
- Ensure documentation and homes meet all agency, funder, and accreditation standards.
- Attend ISP meetings and provide input into the planning process.
- Prepare for and attend service coordinator visits.
- Attend nursing visits and be responsible for medication oversight.
- Review all medications and medical administration records.
- Report any charting or medication errors according to departmental protocols.
- Attend doctor's appointments and provide training on adaptive equipment.
- Attend meetings, in-services, and opportunities for ongoing education.
- Facilitate and participate in regular staff meetings to review issues and training needs.
- Work as fill-in direct care staff as needed.
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience providing direct support to individuals with disabilities, including at least 1 year supporting individuals requiring a high level of behavioral support.
- At least one year of previous leadership experience working with individuals with disabilities or high-level behavioral support needs.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to work with a variety of computer systems.
Nice to Have
- Completion of college-level coursework in the human services field.
