About the Role

The Credit Coordinator ensures accurate credit evaluations, maintains customer records, and supports timely resolution of credit-related inquiries while working closely with internal teams to uphold financial standards.

Responsibilities

  • Review customer credit applications and supporting documentation
  • Verify financial information and creditworthiness of clients
  • Maintain up-to-date customer credit files and databases
  • Assess credit risk based on established guidelines
  • Communicate with sales and accounting teams regarding credit status
  • Approve or escalate credit decisions according to policy
  • Respond to customer inquiries about credit terms and limits
  • Monitor accounts for changes in credit risk
  • Prepare reports on credit activity and outstanding balances
  • Follow up on delinquent accounts in coordination with collections
  • Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures
  • Assist in resolving billing discrepancies related to credit
  • Update credit limits based on customer performance and history
  • Collaborate with management on credit policy improvements
  • Process credit applications within defined turnaround times
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer financial data
  • Support audits by providing accurate credit documentation
  • Track credit decision outcomes for internal review
  • Coordinate with external agencies when necessary for credit checks
  • Assist in onboarding new customers with credit requirements
  • Identify trends in credit risk and report findings
  • Ensure timely processing of credit holds and releases
  • Use accounting software to update and monitor credit statuses
  • Contribute to month-end credit reporting processes
  • Support team goals through accurate and efficient work
