Humana is looking for a Credentialing Assistant to join a team committed to putting health first. In this role, you will obtain and review documentation to determine provider status in our health plan, performing advanced administrative and operational duties in a production-driven environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform initial credentialing and recredentialing via APEX.
- Correct errors as identified by leadership within the credentialing system.
- Outreach to providers and facilities via phone to obtain missing or expired information.
- Manage your own time to accomplish all necessary tasks on schedule.
- Help drive timely credentialing initiatives needed to maintain Humana's provider network.
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years of administrative, support, data entry, or related professional experience.
- 1+ years’ experience in a metric or production-driven environment.
- Prior professional experience using Microsoft Office Programs, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate ideas effectively in both written and oral forms.
Nice to Have
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or a related field.
- Healthcare experience.
- Credentialing, Contract Load, Service Fund, Directories, or CIS experience.
- Provider Network Operations or National Network Operations Experience.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
