At 3M, a company committed to innovation, we are looking for a Product Development Specialist - Liquid Adhesive. In this role, you will lead new product introduction as a technical formulation developer, working cross-functionally to drive new product commercialization from concept to market.
What You'll Do
- Lead new product introduction as the technical formulation developer for liquid adhesives.
- Interact with application engineers, business teams, and customers to identify new product opportunities.
- Work with a cross-functional team to drive commercialization by verifying product performance, validating manufacturing processes, and setting material specifications.
- Apply disciplined project practices to prioritize, execute, and document your work.
- Identify patent opportunities and support enterprise intellectual property processes.
- Enjoy the challenges of troubleshooting technically complex product issues.
What We're Looking For
- A Master's or advanced degree in an engineering or science field (e.g., Polymer, Material, Chemical).
- A minimum of 3 years of new product development experience.
- Demonstrated ability to design experiments, statistically analyze results, make data-driven decisions, and deliver project results aiming for on-time in-full (OTIF) completion.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects on aggressive timelines.
- Excellent communication skills with fluent English in both written and spoken form.
Nice to Have
- Direct experience with the application, process, or equipment used for liquid adhesives.
