Monks is looking for a Creative Copywriter to translate creative direction into impactful language that connects with audiences and meets business objectives. You'll join a team where you'll support concept development, write across channels, and collaborate closely with designers and strategists.
What You'll Do
- Write copy aligned with brand tone and goals, adapting language for various platforms and audiences.
- Contribute to brainstorming and idea generation, supporting creative leads with early-stage thinking.
- Write headlines, taglines, body copy, and microcopy for marketing campaigns, websites, social media, and digital experiences.
- Iterate based on feedback and collaborate with design partners to align visuals and messaging.
- Support storytelling through campaign or product narratives, ensuring flow, clarity, and emotional impact.
- Contribute to content flow and structure, especially for long-form content, landing pages, or product copy.
- Proofread and revise content for clarity, grammar, and tone under guidance from senior copywriters.
- Ensure writing meets client objectives and brief requirements.
- Support creation of content frameworks and messaging hierarchies.
- Contribute to voice and tone documentation when needed.
- Participate in internal reviews and select client meetings, listening for feedback and context.
- Explain writing choices and rationale when presenting deliverables.
- Receive and implement feedback from senior writers or creative leads.
- Build awareness of industry trends, brand tone strategies, and storytelling practices.
- Collaborate actively with design, strategy, and project management teams.
- Support creative leads in executional tasks, including research, content formatting, and asset handoff.
- Comply with all Monks' policies and creative processes.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: $60,000—$75,000 CAD.
