The Miles Group (TMG) is hiring a Managing Director to play a vital role in shaping the firm’s future through client impact, business growth, and talent development. You will advise the most senior leaders in global organizations while helping grow the next generation at TMG.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain long-term, trusted client relationships.
- Expand existing client accounts by identifying new needs and innovative solutions.
- Generate new business through strategic networking, referrals, and thought leadership.
- Develop and deliver compelling proposals to prospective clients and boards.
- Publish thought leadership that reinforces TMG’s market position.
- Lead the scoping of client engagements, aligning deliverables with business impact.
- Foster client retention through consistent high-quality delivery.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to CEOs, boards and CPOs on leadership and succession.
- Translate client challenges into actionable insights and high-impact strategies.
- Write and review client-facing deliverables, ensuring clarity, rigor, relevance, and impact.
- Provide strategic oversight across complex client engagements.
- Ensure rigorous scope, delivery, and quality assurance of multifaceted client projects.
- Contribute to and scale proprietary tools, frameworks, and best practices.
- Develop and mentor the next generation of TMG, particularly Directors.
- Delegate work that balances project needs with individual development goals.
- Provide consistent feedback, career counseling, and coaching to team members.
- Role-model TMG’s values and culture of excellence, inclusion, and intellectual rigor.
What We're Looking For
- Advanced degree (MBA, PhD) or equivalent executive-level experience in leadership advisory or coaching.
- At least 10 years of experience working closely with C-suite executives, with a demonstrated ability to influence decision-making at the highest levels.
- Demonstrated success in growing client relationships and generating new business.
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex issues into actionable insights and influence senior stakeholders.
- Recognized expert in at least two of the following areas: executive coaching, succession planning, talent assessment, or board effectiveness.
- Effective communicator with the ability to lead executive conversations, facilitate high-stakes meetings, and deliver compelling content.
- Experience leading and developing diverse, high-performing teams with a track record of mentoring others.
- Consistently produces high-quality, client-ready content with limited oversight.
- Entrepreneurial energy, strong ethical grounding, a “learn-it-all” mindset, and resilience.
