Responsibilities
- Analyzes, coordinates, and processes design change requests and cost or schedule trends to maintain accurate project status reporting for capital initiatives.
- Gathers, verifies, and reconciles cost data and technical documentation to support project trend tracking and accountability.
- Offers technical support in reviewing contractor and consultant payment requests against contractual terms and internal guidelines.
- Flags inconsistencies to project managers and confirms adherence to insurance, payroll, and safety regulations.
- Reviews and distributes financial reports and spreadsheets, ensuring correct cost distribution and data integrity.
- Processes invoices within a large-scale capital budget, verifying accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely disbursement.
- Manages financial oversight of on-call consultant contracts by authorizing tasks, allocating funds to specific projects, and producing monthly summaries.
- Supports cost estimation, financial forecasting, and reporting for capital and maintenance efforts using project management systems and specialized software.
- Collaborates with senior analysts on cash flow projections, identifying potential savings or overruns in project spending.
- Helps generate performance metrics using earned value analysis, 'S' curves, and other tracking techniques.
- Aids in setting up and testing maintenance-related software and associated hardware components.
- Delivers training sessions to staff, consultants, and contractors, including developing instructional content and conducting group or individual instruction.
- Executes moderately complex budget preparation and management tasks for the department.
- Supports the creation of financial forecasts, expenditure reviews, staffing analyses, and ongoing budget monitoring reports.
- Prepares budget documentation, funding adjustment proposals, and contributes to special assignments as needed.
