What You'll Do
Evaluate marketing content to identify potential regulatory issues, applying FTC guidelines and internal policies to assess claims and required disclosures. Help maintain a central repository of substantiation materials and provide guidance on intellectual property use in advertising.
Review and process standard contracts using established templates and protocols, flagging any deviations. Summarize key legal and operational risks in clear terms to support business decision-making. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of contract forms and documentation systems.
Support the full contract lifecycle by ensuring agreements are properly executed, stored, and retrievable. Manage compliance tasks such as regulatory calendars, data inventories, and audit-ready recordkeeping. Serve as a resource for internal teams on routine legal matters, escalating complex issues when necessary.
Requirements
- Practical understanding of FTC standards, with the ability to evaluate advertising claims and recommend appropriate substantiation and disclosures
- Experience reviewing contracts, identifying risks, and applying standardized language to streamline agreement finalization
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks, privacy practices, and regulatory documentation requirements
- Strong organizational skills with systems for tracking deadlines, documents, and legal processes
- Proficiency using AI tools to assist with legal research, summarization, and documentation while maintaining appropriate oversight
- Ability to collaborate effectively with creative, media, analytics, and product teams in a fast-paced setting
