Interpret and apply evolving regulations impacting short- and long-term rental activities. Draft, review, and revise contracts and legal documents, ensuring consistency and compliance. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to shape company policies and procedures, integrating legal requirements with operational realities. Represent the organization’s interests by supervising outside counsel and guiding lobbying initiatives where necessary.
Monitor legislative developments and support responses to inquiries from government agencies and Congress. Act as a trusted legal advisor, providing timely counsel on day-to-day operational issues and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor from an accredited institution and admission to at least one state bar
- Minimum of three years of legal experience, ideally in multifamily or real estate law
- Proven ability to manage outside counsel and lead legal projects independently
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and time management
- Proficiency in legal and business communication across diverse audiences
- High ethical standards, accountability, and a sense of ownership over work product
- Experience in fast-paced, collaborative environments requiring adaptability and initiative
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and systems efficiently
