Stord is looking for a Corporate Counsel to provide vital support for our commercial contracting and growth. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for reviewing, advising on, and negotiating commercial contracts, working directly with our legal team and business stakeholders to develop strategic, business-centric solutions.
What You'll Do
- Partner with legal and business stakeholders to review, negotiate, and execute a variety of contracts, including service, warehousing, fulfillment, carrier, transportation, partnership, and real estate agreements.
- Support and guide the sales team and other business units on deal structure and contract negotiations for both customers and vendors.
- Serve as a key resource for business stakeholders throughout the contracting process.
- Identify opportunities to improve the contract management process to drive operational efficiency and standardization across the company.
- Address internal inquiries regarding contractual questions, obligations, and compliance.
- Develop processes, create templates, and manage the contract template library.
- Stay up to date on relevant industry, commercial, intellectual property, privacy, and compliance issues.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience with commercial transactions.
- Significant experience negotiating, drafting, and resolving issues for various types of commercial contracts, particularly those relating to warehousing and logistics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to prioritize work, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
- A J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in at least one state bar.
Nice to Have
- Professional experience within the logistics space.
- In-house legal experience.

This role will report directly to the Head of Legal.
