Agilent Technologies is hiring a Corporate & Business Development Manager to support all aspects of the acquisition lifecycle and investment thesis development for the enterprise. This high-visibility role involves deal origination, market analysis, deal execution, and competitive monitoring, with frequent interaction with senior leadership.
What You'll Do
- Support deal origination and M&A funnel development in partnership with Business Development leads.
- Conduct market and strategic evaluations to develop a fact-based understanding of markets and acquisition targets.
- Perform data analyses, market modeling, and hypothesis building.
- Support deal execution, including coordination of deal teams, due diligence, and financial analysis.
- Monitor and report on M&A competitor activities, landscape trends, and key marketplace activities.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree.
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience across business consulting, private equity, investment banking, and/or Corporate Development with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, investment thesis building, and deal execution.
- Proficient using secondary research and designing and conducting primary research.
- Broad understanding and experience with qualitative and quantitative market research techniques.
- Knowledge and familiarity with biopharma, Cell and Gene therapy, genomics and clinical diagnostics.
- Knowledge of technical and scientific details; credible discussing current and future industry trends.
- Intellectually curious with a bias for action; ownership attitude to solve problems and aim for actionable results.
Nice to Have
- MBA strongly preferred.
- Strong experience in financial modeling strongly preferred.
- Broad exposure to life science tools a plus.
Team & Environment
This role reports to the VP of Corporate Development/Head of M&A. It involves active partnership with AVP-Business Development leads, AVP-Corporate Development leads, and close coordination with VP-General Managers and VP-Group Controllers.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $157,120.00 - $294,600.00/yr + equity: Eligibility for stock
