At Airalo, we’re changing how the world connects. As our Core Network Engineer, you will be the architect of a borderless world, owning the evolution of our global Packet Core to ensure seamless 5G experiences for travelers everywhere.

What You'll Do

Lead the design and growth of our Packet Core (EPC/5GC) to ensure our network scales effortlessly as our global traveler base grows.
Be the primary architect for global connectivity, managing roaming coverage through IPX/GRX providers and securing bi-lateral agreements.
Dive deep into signaling procedures across 3G, 4G, and 5G NSA, using tools like Wireshark to decode failures in Diameter and GTP signaling.
Fine-tune critical network flows from user attachment to the creation of high-quality voice and data bearers.
Lead design reviews and manage the Acceptance Testing (ATP) phase with partners.

What We're Looking For

Significant experience in the core network 'engine room' of a Tier 1 Carrier, Mobile Operator, or major Equipment Provider.
Fluent in mobile network technologies: legacy 3G (SGSN/GGSN), dominant 4G (MME/PGW), and the transition to 5G.
Rock-solid grasp of IP networking: BGP routing, subnets, and ASN management.
Hands-on experience architecting the DNS hierarchy (S-NAPTR) for mobile node discovery.

Nice to Have

Practical experience working within the constraints and opportunities of an MVNO or MVNE environment.
Experience with or deployed Cloud Native Network Functions (CNF) and containerized cores.
Experience with Local Breakout (LBO) strategies.
Understanding of managing roaming through Sponsor IMSIs.
