Highmark Inc. is seeking a Coordinator Staffing for the Anesthesia Institute at Allegheny Health Network. This remote, full-time position is responsible for collaborating with clinical leadership to create, coordinate, and maintain provider schedules, primarily utilizing the QGenda software platform. You'll coordinate staffing for the department and perform other duties as required.
What You'll Do
- Assist in providing adequate, competent staff for each location by working closely with managers to identify their staffing needs.
- Coordinate and adjust schedules on a daily basis and review schedules for monthly projections.
- Proactively plan for staffing needs created by vacancies and Leaves of Absences.
- Maintain statistical information and workflow in accordance with staffing patterns.
- Handle appropriate orientation of agency or external staff, ensuring training meets DOH and JCAHO guidelines.
- Maintain appropriate files for agency or external staff.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
- Act as the liaison with external staffing agencies under the direction of leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to function independently on a daily basis, referring issues to management when appropriate.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff and managers at all levels.
- Excellent telephone, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills with spreadsheets, reports, and email.
- Prior experience dealing with contracts, payroll, or human resources policies is helpful.
Nice to Have
- 1 year in a medical setting, customer service, secretarial work, or experience with various computer software programs.
- Previous experience in a staffing or scheduler role.
- Previous experience with UKG.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: $19.00-$27.08 per hour.
