International Rescue Committee (IRC) is hiring a Coordinator, Innovation Implementation

The Coordinator, Innovation Implementation plays a key role in turning innovative concepts into practical on-the-ground results within complex humanitarian settings. This position oversees the operational rollout of priority innovations, ensuring alignment with country program capacities, donor requirements, and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination between innovation teams and country offices to ensure clear roles, timelines, and implementation expectations
  • Monitor country-level innovation budgets and spending to maintain compliance with donor regulations and internal financial controls
  • Ensure all necessary documentation—such as agreements, sub-awards, procurement plans, and regulatory approvals—is completed and maintained
  • Develop actionable implementation plans that reflect local operational realities and technical needs
  • Identify risks and operational challenges early and collaborate with field and headquarters teams to resolve them efficiently
  • Maintain consistent communication with country leadership and technical units to support coordinated execution
  • Support progress tracking and contribute to accurate reporting for donors and internal stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have 3–6 years of experience managing programs at the country level in humanitarian or development contexts. Prior roles may include Deputy Director of Programs, Senior Program Manager, or similar. Strong knowledge of grants management, compliance, procurement, and reporting processes is essential. The ideal candidate is highly organized, solution-focused, and skilled at navigating complex, multi-team environments.

Excellent communication abilities and experience working across geographically dispersed teams are required. Regular travel to program locations is expected. The role demands a practical approach to execution and a commitment to accountability, service, and equity in humanitarian action.
