Allegheny Health Network is looking for a Cook to join our team. In this role, you will prepare foods for service to patients, cafeteria patrons, and catering customers, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and produce hot and cold food items for assigned areas and special requests, following departmental and regulatory standards.
- Utilize proper food handling and storage techniques when receiving, rotating, storing, and preparing all food.
- Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas using prescribed methods and chemicals, complying with all safety and infection control guidelines.
- Maintain safety and sanitation standards according to departmental policies and regulatory agency requirements.
What We're Looking For
- An Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent food production experience.
Nice to Have
- ACHD or Serve Safe certification.
- Experience in an institutional setting.
