SpringHill Experiences is looking for a Cook to join the team at our Christian camp in Evart, Michigan. You’ll be responsible for preparing and serving meals for guest groups in a high-volume, mission-driven environment.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals for guest groups ranging from 150-1000 guests.
- Apply proper food handling techniques for unloading trucks, monitoring food temperature, and storing food safely.
- Comply with national and local nutritional standards.
- Train others to prepare and cook food.
- Implement food allergy and dietary need protocols as developed by the Dining Hall Manager.
- Set up food service areas, kitchen facilities, equipment, and utensils under detailed instruction.
- Clean and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, dishes, utensils, and equipment; collect and dispose of garbage properly.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Dining Hall Manager.
What We're Looking For
- Be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Have basic reading and math skills.
- Have or be able to obtain ServSafe certification.
- Be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Be able to communicate and understand the primary language(s) used by guests.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Be able to work weekdays as well as weekends.
- Be an energetic, fun, organized Christian man or woman who loves to cook, clean, and teach others excellent kitchen skills.
- Wants to serve in a team setting, loves the mission of SpringHill, and works well with young people.
Team & Environment
This role reports to the Dining Hall Manager and operates in a team-oriented, Christian camp mission environment.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $15.00 per hour.

This is an onsite position located in Evart, MI.
