Dana TM4 is hiring a Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement advanced automation and control systems for our electric vehicle powertrain manufacturing lines. In this role, you will ensure robust, scalable, and compliant control solutions for inverter and motor production, driving process optimization, Industry 4.0 readiness, and zero-defect manufacturing.
What You'll Do
- Design and deploy SCADA systems for real-time process monitoring, alarms, and data acquisition.
- Implement MES solutions integrated with IoT sensors for predictive maintenance and digital twin applications.
- Develop ladder logic and structured text programs for Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Beckhoff PLCs; ensure fail-safe operations.
- Create PCB layouts for control circuits, perform functional testing, and conduct root cause analysis for failures.
- Design interlocks and safety circuits for high-voltage motor assembly lines; ensure compliance with IEC and Dana standards.
- Lead end-of-line automation projects, including robotic integration and vision systems for quality assurance.
- Utilize Python and MATLAB for process data analysis and KPI dashboards for OEE improvement.
- Work with design, quality, and production teams to support EV inverter and motor New Product Development (NPD).
What We're Looking For
- A diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, or E&TC Engineering.
- Hands-on experience in automation and controls engineering for EV manufacturing.
- Proficiency in PLC, SCADA, MES, and IoT integration.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and wiring harness programs.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
