What You'll Do
Take ownership of PLC and DCS systems, including Valmet DNA, across several production facilities, ensuring reliable and safe operations. Design and refine SCADA platforms and operator-facing HMIs to improve usability and performance. Develop seamless integrations between automation layers, including historian systems like OSIsoft PI, to enable data-driven decision-making.
Support automation infrastructure by managing servers, client devices, backups, and cybersecurity protocols. Provide direct programming assistance and contribute to system upgrades. Train plant personnel and engineers on automation tools and best practices. Participate in project planning, documentation, and lifecycle execution, including FAT, EAT, and SAT phases.
Engage in process safety management through PHA, MOC, and SIS activities. Enhance industrial networks—FBN, PCN, OMN—for improved resilience and security. Lead control optimization efforts, including PID tuning and recipe handling. Maintain OEE tracking systems and advance digital transformation initiatives. Share knowledge and align strategies with automation teams across locations.
