Avanceon MEA is seeking a SCADA Engineer with expertise in AVEVA System Platform to support and maintain distributed SCADA systems across multiple tunnel sites in Qatar as part of the Ashghal Road Tunnel Program, ensuring reliable and compliant operations. This role is critical to maintaining the continuity and stability of critical infrastructure through proactive system management and collaboration with technical teams.
What You'll Do
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for SCADA nodes and control rooms.
- Troubleshoot software, communication, alarm, and system performance issues.
- Handle system patching, backups, redundancy checks, and failover testing.
- Monitor historian data, alarms, system integrations, and overall SCADA health.
- Maintain logs, RCA reports, maintenance documentation, and change records.
- Work closely with OEMs, consultants, and internal teams for improvements and escalations.
- Support activities related to cybersecurity, asset lifecycle, and system upgrades.
What We're Looking For
- 5–6 years of hands-on SCADA maintenance experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering
- Strong knowledge of AVEVA System Platform, Intouch/OMI, Historian & Galaxy Repository
- Familiarity with PLCs — Schneider, Siemens, or Rockwell
- Good understanding of OPC UA/DA, industrial networking, redundancy, and remote architectures
- Solid troubleshooting, reporting, and communication skills
