The Lead Edge Engineer at Weir Turkey Mineralleri Limited Sirketi plays a pivotal role in shaping industrial edge solutions for Weir’s IIoT platform across global mining and minerals operations. This position combines technical ownership with real-world deployment, directly impacting safety, efficiency, and digital transformation in challenging industrial environments.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design, development, deployment, and lifecycle improvement of industrial edge solutions across devices, gateways, and connectivity layers
- Develop and support secure, reliable edge software and integration components for use in demanding industrial environments
- Work hands-on with industrial protocols and OT connectivity to integrate equipment, sensors, and systems with Weir's digital platform
- Support field deployment activities including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimisation of edge solutions
- Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in IIoT, industrial edge systems, or OT integration with hands-on software deployment experience
- Background in heavy industry, ideally mining or minerals processing, with practical field exposure
- Solid knowledge of industrial protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, Profinet, MQTT, or Sparkplug B
- Strong programming capability (e.g. Node.js, Python, and/or .NET) and experience working in customer-facing technical roles
- Must be permanently authorised to work in the country to which you are applying, without sponsorship
