Montrose Services, LLC is hiring a Contract Setup Analyst

About the Role

Montrose Environmental is looking for a Contract Setup Analyst to manage the full contract lifecycle, from intake and review to setup and analysis. You will work closely with project managers and operations teams to ensure accurate contract administration and revenue recognition within our Engineering and Consulting Center of Excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Receive and review incoming revenue contract requests from project managers.
  • Analyze contract terms and conditions for completeness and accuracy, identifying and escalating potential risks.
  • Use Workday to store, track, manage, and input contract data.
  • Monitor projects-at-risk and provide feedback to operations on requirements to convert to billable projects.
  • Track contract value relative to revenue recognized, ensuring change orders are obtained in advance.
  • Generate reports and support management with revenue analysis and investigation.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external parties regarding contract updates and clarifications.
  • Serve as a point of contact for questions related to the contract setup process.
  • Identify and help implement opportunities to improve process efficiency and accuracy.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years in project accounting, financial management, engineering or construction consulting, or a related role, preferably in a project-based environment.
  • Understanding of accounting principles, including revenue recognition, cost accounting, and project budgeting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Nice to Have

  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with experience in project accounting modules preferred.
  • Workday experience is an asset.
