Henry Ford Health is seeking a Contingent Student Underwriting/Actuarial intern to gain practical experience in a healthcare setting. This role is designed as a pipeline to full-time employment, providing entry-level analyst work.
What You'll Do
- Increase underwriting and actuarial skills through experience in insurance rating, analysis, and modeling.
- Assist with day-to-day operations by performing tasks to plan and implement projects.
- Conduct analysis and compile reports to help inform recommendations.
- Pull and scrub data, perform analysis, develop studies, and create presentations for key decision makers.
What We're Looking For
- Must be enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a 4 year undergraduate or 2 year graduate program.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- Must be a Michigan Resident.
Nice to Have
- Area of study in Actuary Science, Finance, Mathematics, or Statistics.

Work Mode
This is a hybrid role based in Troy, Michigan. The schedule is up to full-time hours in the summer with flexible, part-time remote work around a school schedule during the academic year.
