At Directive Consulting, we're looking for a Content Marketing Strategist (internally titled) to join our team. This is a client-facing role where you'll be responsible for day-to-day client deliverables, creating custom strategies for Enterprise clients, and acting as the main interface between clients and our internal team.
What You'll Do
- Create custom strategies and implement best practices for clients to achieve NSMs.
- Use project phase, client marketing goals, campaigns, and historical performance to build and optimize strategies.
- Craft creative briefs and compelling content campaigns based on competitor and audience insights.
- Set client goals using data from Google Analytics, CRM, SEMRush, and Ahrefs, with approval from the Associate Director.
- Ensure strategy execution through project management using Asana, delegating tasks to team members and clients.
- Partner with content writers and designers to complete content campaigns on time and to client quality standards.
- Build relationships with clients and act as the main interface between clients and the internal team.
- Proactively communicate timeline expectations, goal progress, and account changes to clients and internal leadership.
- Report to clients bi-weekly on NSM progress and deliverables, monthly, quarterly, and via bi-annual business reviews.
- Regularly look for opportunities for client growth through upselling, cross-selling, and asking for referrals.
What We're Looking For
- A proven track record of success implementing SEO principles and content strategy: keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building.
- Ability to analyze website traffic and SEO metrics using tools like Google Analytics.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable client-facing and owning relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong familiarity with industry tools: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog/crawling tools.
- Proven organizational, project, and time management skills.
- Genuine enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO and Content.
- Must have agency experience.
- Must have B2B tech and/or SaaS experience.

Team & Environment
You will work closely with an Associate Director (AsD) for strategy approval and roadblocks, and partner with Project Managers, content writers, and designers. This role reports to the Associate Director.
