We're looking for a Content Editor - South Korea on a 12-month contract to drive the next phase of our growth in the region. You'll be responsible for scaling our organic content presence by localizing the global website and building engaging content on Naver.
What You'll Do

- Build and maintain a strategically driven editorial calendar informed by keyword research, audience intent, and Naver platform dynamics.
- Conduct and apply Korean keyword research in collaboration with the South Korea SEO Lead to guide content prioritisation and topic selection.
- Identify high-impact content opportunities across Naver by combining search demand, cultural trends, and editorial judgment.
- Plan, write, edit, and publish high-quality Korean-language content optimised for Naver discovery while remaining genuinely valuable for users.
- Expand Canva’s organic content presence beyond the Naver Blog by activating and adapting content for other relevant Naver content surfaces.
- Coordinate contributing editors or freelancers by providing clear briefs, keyword context, and editorial feedback.
- Act as the final editorial reviewer for Naver content, ensuring accuracy, structure, tone, and alignment with brand and platform best practices.
- Actively manage and engage with comments and community interactions to strengthen credibility and user trust.
- Track content performance and visibility, using insights to continuously refine editorial strategy and planning.
- Be comfortable using AI tools to support drafting, research, analysis, and workflow efficiency.
- Work closely with the Canva Korea Marketing team to ensure editorial strategy and execution support broader marketing and business objectives.
What We're Looking For
- A native-Korean speaker with business-level English.
- Proven experience as an Editor or Content Strategist, supported by a portfolio or work samples demonstrating hands-on experience in content writing, editing, and managing owned content channels.
- Excellent Korean writing and editing skills, with a strong understanding of local tone, structure, and reader expectations.
- Experience coordinating and reviewing the work of freelancers, editors, or contributing editors, including providing clear briefs, editorial feedback, and taking responsibility for content quality control.
- Hands-on experience running or owning a Naver Blog or a similar owned content channel.
- Deep understanding of Naver’s content formats and preferences, including headings, structure, readability, and narrative flow.
- Strong awareness of Korean cultural, social, and digital trends, and the ability to translate them into compelling content ideas.
- Experience with editorial calendar planning and management based on keyword research, audience intent, and Naver platform insights.
- Ability to balance creative judgment with performance considerations.
- High attention to detail and comfort working within established processes and guidelines.
- Proven experience in collaborating with influencers, creators, or external partners to enhance content reach and foster audience growth.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting or organising events, campaigns, or community initiatives aimed at increasing audience engagement and strengthening brand presence.
Nice to Have
- Experience with other Naver content surfaces such as Naver Café, Naver Knowledge iN, or Naver video formats (e.g. Clip, TV) is a strong plus.
- Experience with SEO fundamentals, particularly content-led SEO and how it supports organic discovery.
- Experience collaborating with SEO teams on keyword research, on-page optimisation, or search-driven content initiatives.
- Experience analysing content performance using analytics tools to understand user behaviour, engagement, and visibility.
- Experience with content promotion and distribution across digital platforms to extend reach and discovery.
