The 4th Engineer is responsible for maintaining auxiliary machinery and supporting engine room operations on container ships managed by Columbia Shipmanagement. This role ensures safe and efficient machinery performance within a multicultural crew environment.
What You'll Do
- Maintenance of auxiliary machinery (pumps, purifiers, compressors)
- Support during engine room operations and repairs
- Ensure safe and efficient machinery performance
What We're Looking For
- Holder of valid COC (STCW Reg III/1) with verification
- Holder of valid STCW certifications required for the position
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Minimum 6 months experience in rank on the same type/size of vessel
Nice to Have
- Experience with multicultural working environment
- Familiarity with container ship machinery and operational specifics
- Experience in trading area USA and Australia
