Role Overview
This hybrid position supports comprehensive medication management for patients within a senior-focused care environment. As a Consultative Pharmacy Technician, you will play a key role in coordinating medication-related services, ensuring patients receive timely refills, accurate records, and ongoing adherence support. You'll work closely with pharmacists, providers, and patients to resolve issues, streamline processes, and maintain high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a primary point of contact for medication-related inquiries from patients, pharmacies, and healthcare providers
- Manage prescription refill requests and monitor adherence to treatment plans
- Conduct medication reconciliation to ensure accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Reach out to patients to address gaps in therapy and support continuity of care
- Identify and escalate complex cases requiring pharmacist review
- Assist in scheduling pharmacist-led patient consultations
- Perform detailed follow-up on medication discrepancies or safety concerns
- Apply established protocols to complete clinical and operational tasks efficiently
- Maintain accuracy and compliance across all workflows and documentation
Qualifications
Applicants must live within commuting distance of Orlando, Florida, and hold an active Florida Pharmacy Technician or Tech in Training license. Certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is required within 10 months of hire. Candidates should have prior experience in a pharmacy or pharmacy-focused call center environment, along with strong computer and data entry skills. A high school diploma or GED is required, as is a demonstrated commitment to patient-centered service.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is preferred. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional local travel for training or meetings. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in Orlando, Florida, with flexibility to work remotely part of the week. Occasional in-person attendance at designated offices may be required for training or team meetings.
