PG&E is looking for a Construction Manager to lead our Pole Test and Treat inspection projects. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying contract-worthy projects, consulting on feasibility, and coordinating with construction crews to ensure work is completed to company standards, engineering design, and regulatory guidelines.
What You'll Do
- Apply full knowledge to complete construction management assignments of moderate scope and complexity.
- Work on 2-3 projects by collaborating with Project Managers and M&C Supervisors to understand construction targets with contract potential.
- Under supervision, manage communication with contractors and conduct meetings for workplan review.
- Utilize and update the workload management database tool for assigned projects.
- Ensure contractors follow approved site-specific safety plans and enforce all project environmental, land permit, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate project kick-off meetings, manage PG&E procured material deliveries, ensure accurate contractor billing, manage change orders, and close out project field records.
- Lead weekly construction and progress meetings and publish meeting notes with field records.
- Maintain a positive relationship with construction superintendents and project managers, keeping them informed as part of the team.
- Provide accurate documentation of billing, time payments, job closure, inspection records, and change orders.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience in the field of Industrial Engineering or Construction.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of working time, with occasional overnight stays.
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, SAP, Power BI, or similar software.
- Experience with inspection and quality control.
- Demonstrated knowledge of electric distribution and transmission utility infrastructure.
- General knowledge of utility pole construction standards and/or wood pole inspection techniques.
- Demonstrated abilities in cost accounting, contract administration, and project scheduling.
- Experience working with contract partners.

- Salary Range: Bay Area: $90,000-$136,000 / California: $86,000-$129,000.
