Westinghouse Nuclear is looking for a Construction Manager-Level 3 to manage and coordinate construction work performed by contractors and vendors at our project sites. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within allocated budgets.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and manage construction work performed by contractors and vendors at the project site.
- Direct EPCs and subcontractors, ensuring projects are completed within allocated time frames.
- Assess productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance on the project.
- Manage walk downs of planned work, validate acceptance of completed work to design requirements, and approve contractor payment requests.
- Control scope, oversee budgets, report on performance, and monitor schedules to ensure Construction Supervisors implement assignments effectively.
- Provide leadership and coaching to Construction Supervisors and supplemental workforce, communicating departmental and station goals.
- Act as a critical bridge between field operations and customer leadership to keep crews and project teams aligned.
- Address logistical challenges, resolve conflicts, and ensure construction activities stay on track.
- Survey contractor Safety, Health, and Environment practices, providing coaching and corrective action.
- Oversee large-scale commissioning efforts, including scope and risk management.
- Lead complex negotiations with EPC contractors and regulatory agencies.
- Conduct high-level project assessments to drive process improvements.
- Join meetings and report progress.
What We're Looking For
- Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 11 - 15 years of experience in power plant commissioning, working with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers.
Team & Environment
You will be responsible for directing EPCs and subcontractors and providing leadership to Construction Supervisors and supplemental workforce.
