Colas Rail UK is looking for a Conducteur d’Engins Polyvalent (Versatile Plant Operator). In this role, you will pilot the specialized machinery used for construction work (road, pipeline, rail…) while strictly adhering to all safety protocols and instructions.
What You'll Do
- Apply all safety instructions related to your activity, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Prepare your intervention: analyze information related to the work schedule, transfer machinery to the site, install site signage, and ensure access routes are compliant with traffic regulations for safe working.
- Ensure machinery/your vehicle is correctly adjusted before operation.
- Perform the construction work by operating machinery within the scope of required certifications and with constant attention to safety.
- Execute tasks based on precise directives from your supervisor.
- Maintain machinery: clean and inspect equipment after use, perform routine maintenance (minor repairs, troubleshooting) in compliance with company environmental guidelines and regulations, and alert your manager to any anomalies.
What We're Looking For
- CAP (Certificat d'Aptitude Professionnelle) or equivalent.
- Valid machinery operation certifications relevant to the activity domain.
