Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is looking for a Completions Designer I to develop detailed design drawings for the manufacturing of aircraft parts, assemblies, and installations. In this role, you will translate customer specifications into precise design and manufacturing data, ensuring all work aligns with FAA requirements and Gulfstream’s established processes.
What You’ll Do
- Develop detailed aircraft interior layout drawings from written customer specifications.
- Conduct reviews with internal Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing groups to evaluate and finalize design drawings for external customer approval.
- Create 2D drawings and 3D models to support the manufacturing of exterior paint schemes.
- Create 2D drawings for flooring layouts and other various manufacturing aids.
- Create and maintain various drawings to reflect evolving Program, Customer and/or Engineering requirements.
- Assist Sales and Engineering with innovative solutions for custom requirements.
- Conduct research for information on existing drawings, hardware, vendor parts, etc. relating to job task.
- Evaluate customer requirements and provide recommendations related to the design.
- Identify problems and provide solutions to designs.
- Coordinate design work with other departments, engineers, and designers as required.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Drafting, Design Engineering or related curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in operating CAD equipment.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Nice to Have
- Experience with business aircraft cabin design and development.
- Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 25 regulatory requirements.
