The ICT Designer at AECOM will develop and formulate solutions to client problems on assigned projects, focusing on ICT infrastructure design and consulting. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality engineering outcomes across critical facilities and infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Develop and formulate solutions to client problems on assigned projects
- Under general direction, responsible for the creation of work plans and task definitions
- Apply in-depth knowledge of ICT Infrastructure types and uses to perform complex and unique assignments including survey, design, development, and construction administration of ICT infrastructure projects
- Be responsible for ICT design and consulting for Data Centers, Commercial Facilities, and Structured Cabling Systems (SCS)
- Perform specific and/or limited ICT Design and Consulting duties as part of a team of expert Consultants
- Gather and correlate engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
- Work on detailed and/or routine design and/or consulting assignments
- Propose solutions to solve new and/or complex problems encountered
- Provide guidance and direction to internal mid-level consultants and production staff
- Perform work in accordance with the agreed-upon budget and schedule with minimal supervision
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of design experience with ICT infrastructure
- Professional experience and/or proficiency in various software products, including but not limited to, Revit, AutoCAD, Visio Professional, Bluebeam Extreme (Revu), Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and other ICT Specific Programs
- Professional experience and/or proficiency in various Codes Standards and regulations including but not limited to Permitting, State & Local Ordinances, IEEE – C2 Standard (National Electrical Safety Code), OSHA - 1910 Standards, TIA – Cabling Standards, TIA – Data Center Standards and BICSI – TDMM and other Manuals
