Responsibilities
- Offer companionship and perform basic household tasks for medically stable patients, following the direction of a Home Support Supervisor.
- Handle simple meal preparation and light housekeeping duties, including washing dishes, taking out the trash, and doing the client's laundry.
- Sweep and vacuum within the client's immediate living area as needed.
- Provide respite care for medically stable patients when the primary caregiver is away from home.
- Stay informed about the patient's abilities, current medical diagnoses, diet, personal interests, and special needs.
- Travel within the assigned region between patients' residences or facilities.
Requirements
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check and TB Test (completed within the last 6 months) as a condition of employment.
- TB Test (completed within the last year) and an updated immunization record.
Nice to Have
- Ability to speak additional languages is considered an asset.
