Catawiki is hiring a Communications Intern

About the Role

Catawiki is looking for a Communications Intern to join our Communications team in Amsterdam. This is a 6-month paid internship where you'll support Consumer and Corporate Communications initiatives and the daily running of our press office, reporting directly to Communications Managers.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the press newsrooms and upload all relevant content in a timely manner.
  • Manage press monitoring, tracking coverage on daily, monthly, and project bases.
  • Manage the corporate social media channel on LinkedIn.
  • Support the team with writing and distributing news releases and media pitches.
  • Draft interview briefings and FAQs to help secure top-tier media coverage.
  • Support in handling media enquiries and involving relevant team members.
  • Support with research on various topics, ideation, and proactive communications campaigns.
  • Provide general team support on day-to-day logistics like meeting arrangements and reporting.
  • Support the daily management of our 6 local PR agencies.
  • Assist on reactive media issues management and support the development of statements if needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Must be registered as a student in a Dutch university during the entire internship period.
  • Excellent writing skills (English) and strong verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of new and traditional media and social media outlets.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and G Suite.
  • Incredibly passionate about Catawiki's mission and goals.
  • Creativity, an innovator, and an ability to think big.
  • Hard working, hands-on, pressure resistant with a can-do attitude.

Nice to Have

  • Studying communications, journalism, or PR.
  • Previous comms work experience at a media outlet, PR agency, or brand.
  • Bilingual in French, Italian, German, Dutch, or Spanish.
