Mantis Innovation is looking for a Commercial Roofing Survey Technician to join our Field Operations team. In this full-time role, you will perform critical on-site inspections and data collection to inform our commercial roofing services and solutions.
What You'll Do
- Conduct detailed physical surveys and assessments of commercial roofing systems
- Collect accurate field data, measurements, and photographic documentation
- Perform core cuts, moisture scans, and other diagnostic procedures as required
- Analyze roof conditions and compile comprehensive survey reports
- Work efficiently and safely on job sites, adhering to all company and industry protocols
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in commercial roofing, surveying, inspections, or a related construction trade
- Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems, materials, and common failure points
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and work at heights
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate data collection and reporting
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record and willingness to travel to job sites
- Strong communication skills to relay findings clearly to project teams
Nice to Have
- Formal training or certification in roofing inspection or building envelope consulting
- Experience with infrared thermography, moisture mapping, or drone-assisted surveys
- Familiarity with reading architectural plans, blueprints, and construction documents
Work Mode
This is a full-time, onsite position based in Indianapolis, IN. Work will be performed primarily in the field at various commercial job sites.
