Mobilitas is seeking a Commercial Casualty Litigation Adjuster to own complex, litigated injury claims. In this remote role, you will manage claims involving catastrophic injuries, fatalities, and litigation through to their conclusion, providing direction to defense counsel and leveraging your settlement authority.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the owning adjuster for claims with identified injury exposure.
- Handle complex first and third-party auto liability cases involving injury, including litigated cases.
- Investigate, manage, and negotiate claims, collaborating with defense counsel on strategy.
- Represent the organization at mediations, settlement conferences, arbitrations, and trials.
- Direct defense counsel, providing resolution authority and balancing defense costs.
- Make coverage determinations and advise customers accordingly.
- Conduct complex investigative work, including witness interviews and evidence analysis.
- Evaluate defense counsel fees and costs for reasonableness.
- Assess subrogation potential and initiate notices.
- Make final settlement decisions within your authority and develop negotiating strategies.
- Present cases to committee for authority above your limit and negotiate settlements independently.
- Develop and present executive summaries to external clients and internal executives.
- Handle a variety of commercial product types, including auto, fleet, and trucking.
- Manage claims across most geographic venues and vehicle types.
- Ensure claims handling adheres to insurance program agreements and service level agreements.
- Mentor, train, and coach other adjusters.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of overall claims experience.
- 3+ years in a Casualty claims role within the P&C insurance industry, with at least 1 year in a senior or complex litigation capacity.
- BA/BS in business, insurance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must hold an Adjuster license for all applicable states or obtain license(s) within 90 days of hire.

- 6+ years of specific Casualty claims adjusting experience.
- 3+ years in a Commercial claims role.
- Bilingual proficiency.
- Proficiency or ability to gain proficiency in handling minor, moderate, and complex litigated claims.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to work independently with strong decision-making.
- Extensive understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to travel and work extended hours or weekends as needed.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills for presenting complex information.
- Strong math skills, basic computer skills, and typing speed of at least 30 words per minute.
