Forbes Advisor is hiring a Commerce Writer for its Forbes Vetted editorial team. The role focuses on researching and writing authoritative content for the Home & Kitchen section, with contributions to the Mattress & Sleep vertical. You will report to the Forbes Vetted Senior Home & Kitchen Editor.
What You'll Do
- Write well-researched articles on home and kitchen topics, including appliances, furniture, décor, pet products, cleaning, and home improvement.
- Perform hands-on product testing, research, and expert interviews to create high-quality, reliable content.
- Brainstorm and pitch stories based on SEO/GEO data, audience trends, seasonality, and other KPIs.
- Collaborate with strategy, data, audience development, partnerships, product, and other editorial staff.
- Ideate and create off-platform content for social media, newsletters, and video.
- Use analytics tools like Looker to plan content and track performance against goals.
- Participate in sales event coverage, which may include working shifts over holiday weekends.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience writing about home and kitchen products and topics.
- Impeccable writing and reporting skills, including how to source and include expert perspectives.
- A robust network of industry PR contacts.
- Experience with hands-on product testing, particularly in home, kitchen, and sleep categories.
Nice to Have
- Experience covering the sleep and mattress space, including mattresses, bedding, and accessories.
- An eye for storytelling and packaging that builds brand authority beyond product reviews.
- Experience appearing in video and enthusiasm for translating editorial stories into video content.
- An existing online audience or excitement about building one via newsletter, video, social media, and site contributions.
- Eagerness to innovate and experiment editorially to grow the audience on-site and off-platform.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
