Inventive Food Technology is hiring a COE Buyer to manage the entire procurement process for assigned manufacturing sites. You will be responsible for preparing, negotiating, and managing agreements to ensure a reliable supply of materials and services, with a core focus on transactional efficiency.

What You'll Do

Lead the evaluation and selection of suppliers based on quality, service, cost, and capability.
Analyze business requirements and identify reliable suppliers to meet them.
Participate in the development of sourcing strategies and look for productivity gains and alternative sources.
Oversee contract implementation and supplier performance, resolving operational issues.
Document and resolve issues related to quality, service, safety, and supply.
Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate on Core Strategy Teams for materials and services in the Efficiency and/or Essential Quadrants.
Negotiate and deliver savings to meet business requirements and Procurement objectives.
Use Auction Tools, RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and/or sealed bids.
Create leveraged agreements as appropriate.
Calculate and report accomplishments in all appropriate systems.
Execute Tail Spend strategy.
Manage spot and urgency buys.
Resolve issues with vendors regarding delivery, quality, supply, pricing, and blocked invoices.

What We're Looking For

A graduate with 3 to 5 years of experience in Procurement.
Strong English language knowledge is a must.
Strong client engagement, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Able to work with cross-functional teams.
Analytical skills to interpret data and develop savings/improvement opportunities.
Strong computer capabilities (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to listen and communicate information clearly, courteously, concisely, and logically.
Strong negotiation skills.
Capable of working in stress situations for shortages and potential plant shutdowns.
Willingness to travel 15% of the time.

Nice to Have

Dutch language skills are considered a strong asset.
Six Sigma Green Belt certification would be a plus.
