GFT Technologies SE is looking for a Senior COBOL Developer to work remotely on our large-scale, critical mainframe systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, evolution, and quality of these core applications by analyzing complex demands, maintaining legacy systems, and collaborating with business areas.
What You'll Do
- Develop, maintain, and evolve systems in COBOL for both batch and online processing.
- Analyze functional and technical requirements, proposing efficient solutions aligned with business needs.
- Perform corrections, improvements, and performance optimizations in existing applications.
- Develop and maintain batch programs, online programs, and system integrations.
- Work with DB2 databases, performing queries, adjustments, and impact analysis.
- Work in CICS, JCL, and TSO/ISPF environments.
- Support testing, homologation, and production deployment processes.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation.
- Collaborate with analysts, business areas, and other developers.
- Contribute to development best practices and continuous system improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Solid experience as a Senior COBOL Developer.
- Mastery of COBOL Batch and Online.
- Knowledge of CICS, JCL, TSO/ISPF.
- Experience with DB2 for development and queries.
- Experience in mainframe environments.
- Ability to analyze legacy systems and perform reverse engineering.
- Experience supporting and sustaining critical systems.
