Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments to residents as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Oversee residents who self-administer medications, adhering to community and regulatory standards.
- Document any changes in residents' physical condition or behavior.
- Keep records of medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents, and observations.
- Assist residents with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort services, and other daily living activities.
- Follow the schedule of resident needs as directed by the supervisor.
- Offer emotional and social support to residents.
- Notify the supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
- Maintain a safe work environment by preventing accidents, preserving equipment, and practicing safe work habits.
- Interact with residents, visitors, families, and coworkers in a positive and professional manner.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid CNA license.
- Ability to regularly lift at least 51 pounds and assist residents who need physical help.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
Nice to Have
- Experience caring for residents with memory impairment may be required if assigned to memory care areas.
