Astronomer is hiring a Cloud Solutions Architect, Infrastructure to join our field team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering technical solutions to customer and prospect business problems. You will implement Astronomer’s software and services for some of the world’s largest businesses, guide complex customers through their Apache Airflow journey, and serve as the core interface between the Customer, Sales, and Product teams.
What You'll Do
- Implement Astronomer’s software and services at the core of large-scale businesses and organizations.
- Guide our largest and most complex customers throughout their Apache Airflow journeys.
- Act as the primary technical interface between the Customer, Sales, and Product teams to ensure the solution solves pain points and delivers customer value.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in a data infrastructure role or equivalent.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes (GKE, EKS, AKS, or OpenShift preferred).
- Proficiency in Python or Go.
- 1+ years in a customer-facing role.
- Good understanding of network complexities and architectures.
- Versatile Terminal and CLI user.
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Experience operating complex SaaS infrastructure at scale.
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider API and tooling.
- Cloud-native data architecture experience.
- Strong customer-facing, oral, and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience using or administering Apache Airflow, Autosys, UC4, Temporal, Dagster, or Prefect.
- Enterprise data experience within regulated environments.
- Experience with infrastructure scripting and automation tools like Pulumi, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Experience with ElasticSearch, Prometheus, or Vault.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: $200,000 - $240,000 plus an equity component.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid role. Candidates must be located in the East Coast time zone.
