Accor is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team and ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud infrastructure. You will combine software engineering with cloud operations expertise, focusing on automation, monitoring, and optimization across AWS services.
What You'll Do
- Maintain highly available and resilient cloud infrastructure, meeting agreed SLO targets.
- Configure and optimize monitoring solutions to detect anomalies early and maintain system health.
- Analyze and tune system performance, networking, and workloads to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Respond to infrastructure incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent preventative solutions.
- Partner with ACP Platform teams, contribute to product design, and provide operational feedback.
- Lead and ensure backup, replication, and failover plans across AWS regions are well maintained and tested.
- Document incidents, update runbooks, and improve processes based on lessons learned.
- Build self-healing systems and automated remediation workflows to reduce manual intervention.
- Forecast and optimize AWS resources to handle traffic spikes using Auto Scaling and Load Balancing.
- Follow security best practices and ensure compliance with Accor security standards.
- Maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud operations.
- At least 2+ years specifically in an SRE role.
- Fluent in English communication.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
- Proficient in cloud monitoring and observability tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Familiar with CI/CD, Terraform, and Git.
- Solid understanding of container orchestration with Kubernetes or EKS.
- A strong focus on optimizing system efficiency and cloud costs.
Nice to Have
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or similar certifications.
