Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Hungary Kft. is looking for a Cloud Architect to join the team shaping the next generation of our Open Telekom Cloud (OTC). You will play a central role in enhancing the physical and virtual networking layers of our OpenStack-based public cloud platform, driving automation and acting as a senior architect.
What You'll Do
- Design, operate, and further develop OpenStack-based network services on the OTC platform in close collaboration with vendors and internal experts.
- Plan and drive automation initiatives using modern frameworks to improve reliability and speed.
- Enhance the platform’s network architecture with strong focus on IT security and robustness.
- Work closely with specialists across the Deutsche Telekom Group on topics related to public cloud and open-source technologies.
- Prepare technical materials, present architectural concepts, and advise management on strategic technology decisions.
- Act as a senior architect within an agile squad — supporting, mentoring, and guiding colleagues as part of everyday work.
- Handle hands-on tasks at the console to validate and support architectural decisions.
What We're Looking For
- Completed studies in a technical, engineering, or scientific subject — or equivalent professional training.
- 3–5 years of professional experience in IT with strong exposure to modern cloud technologies.
- Deep knowledge of software, cloud, and container architectures.
- Experience with infrastructure automation (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Strong knowledge of Python programming language, paradigms, constructs, and idioms.
- Strong customer orientation and the ability to understand real-world use cases.
- Knowledge of agile development methods and experience working in agile teams.
- Mentoring, presentation, and communication skills — you can explain complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to evaluate technical solutions and propose creative, future-proof approaches.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- You must be located and working within the EU to meet our customers’ data security and privacy requirements.
Nice to Have
- OpenStack knowledge and open-source programming experience are strong pluses.
