Braze is hiring a Cloud Architect for an strong>8-week contract. You will lead the design and implementation of a Palo Alto Firewall architecture on Google Cloud Platform, utilizing Infrastructure as Code principles to establish secure, scalable, and automated network environments.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design of a scalable Palo Alto Firewall architecture across Production and Disaster Recovery environments on GCP.
- Develop detailed network and security architecture blueprints, ensuring alignment with cloud governance and compliance frameworks.
- Define automation approaches and tooling for infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
- Develop reusable Terraform modules for Palo Alto deployment, network components, and supporting GCP resources.
- Document input variables, dependencies, and IAM requirements for standardized deployments.
- Provide implementation advisory during deployment and UAT phases.
- Validate architecture, test traffic flows, and ensure integration with existing monitoring and logging systems.
- Deliver comprehensive design documentation, Terraform artifacts, and architecture diagrams.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with client’s engineering teams to ensure smooth handover.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of professional experience in cloud architecture and network security design.
- Deep expertise with Google Cloud Platform (VPCs, IAM, Load Balancers, Service Accounts).
- Proven hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Strong experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls (VM-Series or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, routing, and firewall rule configuration.
- Experience designing and documenting secure, automated GCP environments.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and technical documentation.
