OCT Consulting, LLC is hiring a Cloud Architect and Infrastructure Lead (CAIL) to serve as the principal designer and manager for the cloud and data infrastructure hosting critical digital services within AWS GovCloud. You will deliver a resilient, scalable platform that meets stringent Department of Defense performance and availability requirements for outreach and engagement.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, optimize, and manage information systems, applications, networks, and storage solutions within the agency’s AWS GovCloud and digital environments.
• Provide a high-availability, scalable system architecture, leveraging IT management tools and proactive cybersecurity measures.
• Ensure the IT infrastructure fully supports the agency’s operational objectives and maintains 24/7 availability year-round.
• Ensure operational excellence for the entire IT enterprise within AWS GovCloud.
• Utilize Agile development methodologies for all new technology development, enhancements, and refreshes.
• Provide technology solutions driven by user-centered design principles.
• Manage large teams of IT and cybersecurity personnel.

What We're Looking For

• U.S. Citizenship and an Active Top Secret Clearance / Favorably Adjudicated Tier 5 Investigation.
• Residency in the National Capital Region with availability to support on-site as required.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, information systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of DoD or Federal IT architecture and/or infrastructure experience.
• 5+ years of experience in AWS GovCloud architecture and infrastructure support.
• 5+ years of experience supporting cloud architecture and infrastructure in DevSecOps and Agile development environments.
• Possession of one of the following certifications: CGRC, Security+, CISM, CISSP, CASP+, or GSLC.

Nice to Have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification.
• Deep understanding of cloud operations and cybersecurity compliance within a DoD environment (e.g., AWS GovCloud, ZTA, NIST RMF).
• Expert knowledge of DoD CC SRG Impact Levels (IL) 2, 4, and 5 and demonstrated experience with cloud security postures in AWS GovCloud.
• Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery planning for 24/7 operations.

• Compensation range of $150,000 - $200,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and education.
