Surgery Partners is hiring a Clinical Support Analyst II

Role OverviewThe Clinical Support Analyst II plays a key part in maintaining and enhancing ambulatory clinical applications used across healthcare facilities. This position focuses on system configuration, issue resolution, and process improvement to support seamless operations in electronic health records (EHR), practice management, supply chain, credentialing, and managed care platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve application-level issues reported by users, applying configuration fixes or coordinating with internal or vendor developers as needed.
  • Configure systems to align with clinical and operational workflows, ensuring functionality meets business requirements.
  • Manage and update support tickets in the IT tracking system, maintaining accurate records of issues and resolutions.
  • Design, modify, and maintain templates within business applications to improve usability and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with end users across multiple locations to assess needs and enhance system utilization.
  • Engage with software vendors to support application functionality and implement updates.
  • Apply knowledge of the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Test and promote configurations from development to production environments with minimal disruption.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for business requirements, technical specifications, test strategies, and deployment plans.
  • Support users in creating or refining reports that deliver actionable insights for clinical and administrative functions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of five years supporting EHR or EMR systems in a healthcare environment.
  • At least one year of business analysis experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working independently in fast-moving settings with frequent task re-prioritization.
  • Background in hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, or physician practices.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Understanding of HIPAA, The Joint Commission (TJC), DNV, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
  • Completion of annual training and compliance education requirements.
  • Familiarity with federal healthcare program compliance, including fraud, waste, and abuse prevention.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in information technology, information systems, or health data-related field.
  • Clinical experience, including RN or clinical informatics background in ambulatory or hospital settings.
  • Experience using IT ticketing systems for tracking and resolving technical issues.
  • Hands-on experience with ambulatory platforms such as HST, Nextech, NextGen Ambulatory, AthenaHealth, AdvantX, AllScripts, eClinicalWorks, or Meditech Ambulatory.
