About the Role

Abbott Laboratories Inc is hiring a Clinical Sales Specialist, Structural Heart, TAVI to support accounts within Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be an integrated part of the clinical trial and commercial sales process, collaborating with the Territory Manager to educate medical personnel and drive best-in-class patient outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Provide active clinical trial and commercial case support, demonstrating excellence in procedural success rates and patient outcomes.
  • Scrub in sterile and provide TAVI valve loading in procedures and training instruction to trial and commercial customers.
  • Provide customers CT valve sizing analysis utilizing the Pie Medical 3Mensio CT program.
  • Provide trial site engagement and participation in subject selection committee calls.
  • Lead customer didactic education sessions for account activation before first implants.
  • Lead pre-case planning and debriefing of the heart team pre and post procedure and provide ongoing education as requested.
  • Properly manage trial and commercial inventory, acquisition, and field trunk stock.
  • Co-develop commercial business plan for the assigned region with the Territory Manager.
  • Co-support internal and external quarterly business reviews with the Territory Manager.
  • Complete data entry into Salesforce and Mentor software for customer case support management.
  • Learn commercial data analytics, resources, and tools for an effective customer experience.
  • Support the customer engagement strategy with the Territory Manager.
  • Demonstrate competency with marketing messaging, clinical evidence, and the medical education portfolio offering.
  • Complete sales enablement training on professional selling skills and challenger methodology.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the TAVI market, industry, and competitive insights.
  • Participate in team meetings, conventions, and national sales meetings as requested.
  • Complete vendor credentialing process for hospital access as required.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor of Science (BS), Bachelor of Arts (BA) college degree, or an equivalent clinical degree (e.g., RCIS, Certified Cardiology Technician, RN, NP, Transcatheter Cardiovascular Surgical/Scrub technician, PA).
  • 9+ years of clinical work experience required in a hospital or medical device industry.
  • 5+ years of which are in Structural Heart, endovascular/TEVAR/EVAR/TCAR specific clinical experience or have supported 300+ TAVI cases.
  • Verification that you will satisfy all vendor credentialing requirements, which may include vaccination for COVID-19.

Nice to Have

  • A degree in life sciences.
  • Strong consideration will be given to candidates with TAVI or transcatheter Structural Heart experience.

Team & Environment

You will report to the Regional Sales Director with guidance from the Territory Manager on daily activities.
