About the Role

Evergreenhealth is looking for a Clinical Informatics Specialist II - Ambulatory Clinic Support to maintain and optimize EpicCare Ambulatory functionality across Medical and Specialty clinics. This position ensures accurate, efficient, and patient-centered documentation and workflows by partnering closely with operational leaders, providers, and clinical teams.

What You'll Do

  • Work with users to define system requirements for content and successful workflow integration.
  • Perform workflow analysis of multidisciplinary healthcare provider activities and translate into optimal system design.
  • Lead, facilitate, and consult with work teams on the specification and design of the EMR for order management, documentation, and clinical decision support.
  • Develop and conduct unit, functional, and integration test plans; report results of application and performance testing.
  • Conduct formal and informal training and assist with monitoring competencies regarding EMR use.
  • Work with educational resources to develop training curriculum, end-user documentation, and learning aids.
  • Act as an expert resource by anticipating and identifying educational, procedural, and functional problems with EMR implementation.
  • Apply change management principles during EMR implementation to assist staff in transitioning to automated systems.
  • Monitor system impact on user workflows and incorporate results into system enhancements.
  • Work with clinicians to identify areas where clinical information systems can support and enhance their clinical processes.
  • Provide onsite and remote support to clinicians during implementations and as needed, working closely with IT Customer Support.
  • Serve as a primary contact and mentor for clinical information systems super users across all departments.
  • Facilitate interdepartmental communications and act as a liaison between IT and other health system departments.
  • Prepare educational materials, newsletters, and supportive documentation; maintain current and accurate user documentation.
  • Coordinate the improvement of clinician documentation through job aids, training, and quality improvement strategies.
  • Train, educate, and instruct clinical users on software system features, operation, and usage.
  • Manage, troubleshoot, resolve, and provide prompt feedback on Service Requests.
  • Participate proactively in issue prevention and problem resolution; take call on a rotating basis for after-hours support.
  • Develop and communicate change control procedures and clinical updates for the EMR.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Salary: $89,960 - $143,957 per year
