About the Role

The Registered Nurse serves as a clinical leader, supervising patient treatments, managing nursing staff, ensuring adherence to protocols, and maintaining quality care standards in a dialysis setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily clinical operations for dialysis treatments
  • Supervise nursing staff and support personnel during shifts
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety procedures
  • Monitor patient vital signs and treatment progress
  • Administer medications and manage intravenous lines as prescribed
  • Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
  • Respond to patient emergencies and implement emergency protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians to adjust treatment plans
  • Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures and self-care
  • Conduct patient assessments before, during, and after treatment
  • Maintain equipment safety and report malfunctions
  • Ensure proper sterilization and handling of medical supplies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Support training for new nursing staff
  • Monitor adherence to regulatory standards
  • Assist in audits and accreditation preparations
  • Coordinate with social workers and dietitians for patient support
  • Address patient concerns and provide emotional support
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information
  • Follow emergency preparedness protocols
  • Promote a culture of patient safety and continuous improvement
  • Manage inventory of clinical supplies
  • Ensure accurate labeling and handling of blood samples
  • Support patient transition planning and discharge needs
  • Participate in staff performance evaluations
