Fresenius Medical Care North America is hiring a Clinical Coordinator - Charge Registered Nurse - Dialysis to manage daily clinical operations and ensure quality care for our dialysis patients. In this supervisory role, you will provide guidance to direct patient care staff, oversee safe and effective treatment outcomes, and maintain compliance with all regulations.
What You'll Do
- Provide day-to-day guidance, support, and direction to direct patient care staff.
- Participate in department staffing, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with all company and facility procedures and policies as well as state and federal regulations.
- Approve or disapprove schedule changes in the absence of the Facility Administrator.
- Participate in patient care plan meetings and supervise all documentation of patient information.
- Train and orient staff as necessary.
- Routinely observe and guide staff for appropriate technique and policy adherence.
- Promote and assist with compliance to OSHA programs.
- Maintain overall shift operation in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.
- Conduct monthly staff meetings and meet routinely with the Facility Administrator to discuss personnel and patient status.
- Coordinate Charge Nurse duties and develop patient care assignments.
- Assume primary responsibility in emergency situations.
- Assess patient needs, respond to dialysis treatments, and communicate with physicians.
- Monitor all patient care activity during dialysis and collaborate with the team on care decisions.
- Continuously monitor patients for problems and potential complications.
- Administer medications per physician’s orders.
- Act as a subject matter expert and resource for staff members.
- Supervise completion of short and long term care plans and admit new patients per facility procedure.
- Ensure patient educational needs are met regarding ESRD, dialysis, diet, and medication.
- Supervise the safe and effective use of all direct patient care equipment.
- Operate dialysis and emergency equipment safely and efficiently when needed.
- Perform required testing and complete start-up/shut-down checklists.
- Complete Nurse’s Technical Training Program/Water Quality Facility training.
- Assist with interviewing potential staff and promote efficient use of medical supplies.
- Attend monthly Quality Assurance meetings and assist with special projects as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.)
- Must be registered and licensed to practice in the applicable State.
- Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience.
- Minimum of 6 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients.
- Certified in CPR or successfully complete a CPR certification course.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Medical/surgical nursing experience.
- Supervisory or management experience.
Team & Environment
You will supervise Direct Patient Care Staff and a Ward Clerk as assigned, reporting directly to the Facility Administrator.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $95,200.00 - $158,600.00

This is an onsite position.
